By using CalMate, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. The service
CalMate helps you log meals (including AI meal scanning), track calories and weight, view streaks, and chat with an AI coach. Features may change over time.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country). If you are under 18, use the app only with a parent or guardian’s permission.
3. Your account
Sign in with Google. Keep your account secure and your profile information accurate. You are responsible for activity on your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app, attempt unauthorized access, scrape or reverse engineer it, or upload unlawful or harmful content.
5. AI and health information
Meal scans, calorie estimates, and AI coach replies are approximate and for general information only — not medical, nutritional, or professional advice. Do not rely on the app for diagnosis or treatment. Consult a qualified professional for health decisions.
6. Subscriptions and ads
Optional paid plans are billed through Google Play. We do not store your payment card details. Subscriptions renew until you cancel in Google Play. Refunds follow Google Play policies. The free version may show ads (e.g. Google AdMob).
7. Third-party services
The app uses Google, Firebase, AI providers, and ad networks. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms and policies.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of content you submit (photos, logs, messages). You grant us a limited license to store and process it only to run and improve the service, including sending data to AI providers to generate results.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The app is provided “as is” without warranties. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for errors in AI-generated content. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before a claim (or a nominal amount if you paid nothing).
10. Termination and account deletion
You may stop using the app anytime. Delete your account in the app: Profile → Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend access for violations of these Terms.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change, and continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the courts of India unless local law requires otherwise.
